Kildalton Cross

he Kildalton Cross is often considered ‘the finest surviving Celtic cross in Scotland.’ It’s not often that one can see and touch a relic from the 8th century in its natural habitat, so if you’re visiting the Southern coast, definitely stop here and work your way back. Passing Ardbeg on a single-track road, the Church itself is late 12th or early 13th century. Worth a visit for those history buffs.
